A Day in Kenting National Park

Love to stroll on parks and experience nature’s beauty? Why not try to visit Kenting National Park? Well, it is simply the oldest and the southernmost park in Taiwan and it was on January 1, 1984 when it was established. It is situated near Kenting on a bay a short distance from Taiwan’s southernmost tip.Kenting National Park

It is well known for its coral reef cliffs and for housing the historical lighthouse of Eluanbi. Among the different places to view in the park are Chuanfanshih (Boat Sail Rock), Cingwashih (Frog Rock0, Fongchueisha (Wind blowing sand) and the Maobitou (Cat’s Nose Rock). The park is about 181 square kilometers of land and it is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, the Taiwan Strait and the Luzon Strait.

It has coral sea cliffs that are teemed with fringing reefs along the west coast. Kenting National Park also features a big number of mountains in the north and the coral tablelands and foothills in the south.
