Goa is wealthy in flora and fauna. One of the internationally recognized places in Goa is the Western Ghats which is considered to be among the biodiversity hotspots of the world. Among its important forest products are the bamboo canes, Maratha barks, chillar barks, and bhirand. There are also foxes, wild boars, and migratory birds found in the place.
