Even in simplest cities, Philippines offer magnificent views and pleasures. Opol for one is a municipality of Misamis Oriental, Philippines which is said to be experiencing gradual urbanization. This is the result of the local population growth as well as the expansion of nearby Cagayan de Oro City.

With about 36,389 inhabitants, the municipality can be regarded as a harmonious place with cooperative people. The main economic activities in the area are fishing, farming, tourism and light industry. There are also remarkable economic infrastructures which can be found in the area and these include San Miguel/Coca Cola Bottling plant and a fishing port at Luyongbonbon.

Opol also features wonderful sites for tourists. They have the Philippine Ostrich and Crocodile Farm which is the first combined ostrich and crocodile farm in the country. It serves as the home to several hundred ostrich and dozen crocodiles. There is also the Lauremar Beach Resort and the Opol Aviary and Mini Zoo.
