A landlocked socialist republic in Southeast Asia, Laos traces its history to the Kingdom of Lan Xang or Land of a Million Elephants. It has existed from the fourteenth to eighteenth century. Its name in Lao language is “Muang Lao.”

It is composed of thickly forested landscape made up of rugged mountains. The climate of Laos is tropical and is characterized by monsoons. Vientiane is the capital and largest city of the country. There are also many beautiful spots found in the country and there are numerous animal species have been discovered or re-discovered in Laos in recent years. Laos’ economy depends on investment and trade with Thailand. Tourism is said to be the fastest growing industry in the country.

Tourists love to go to Laos because it gives a different kind of sensation and feeling. It has many wonderful natural sites which give vibrancies and life to the country.
