Coming to Indonesia and looking forward to their festivals and celebrations are the things which visitors would really want to experience not only in the country but also to other places. For now, it is wonderful to see and learn how the Indonesians do their way in celebrating life.

Indonesians celebrate Pesta Nelayan Fishing Festival through dances, sailing contests and offering to Nyai Lord Kidul- the goddess of the southern seas. They also have Tabut which is an event during the month of August. Indonesians often make and decorate bouraq or winged horses with a face of a woman and parade these stuffs in the streets.

Erau Festival is a celebration done during the last week of September. People present dances, rituals, songs and canoe race. Indonesia as a Muslim world also has Puasa or Ramadan. It is a fasting for a month where Muslims may not drink, eat and smoke. After a month, they spend a time of hospitality and visiting.

There are still more festivals in the country to celebrate and so many reasons why we would celebrate life and blessings.
