Puerto Princesa City is simply a first class city in the Palawan, Philippines. It is well-known for its crocodile farms, underground rivers, and dive spots.
Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is among the UNESCO World Heritage Site and it features a very beautiful limestone karst landscape with a magnificent underground river. The river emerges directly into the sea and its lower part is subject to many tidal influences. The place is an important habitat for biodiversity conservation. It is also made up of mountain-to-sea ecosystem and is known to have some of the most significant forests in Asia.
It was on June 30, 1992 when Edward S. Hagedorn was elected as the Mayor of the city. He was then re-elected as a mayor of the city on November 2002. Puerto Princesa City has 66 barangays 35 of which are the urban areas and 31 of it are the rural areas.
