Armenia has many places to boast for. And one of its wonderful cities is the Ararat.
Ararat is only about 42 kilometers southeast of Yerevan. It comprises the center of a building industry and railway station. The settlement was established and the construction started in 1929. Ararat was also incorporated with the village of Davalu. The first cement-clate combine was opened in 1957. There are currently two cement factories in the city of Ararat. Aside from the enterprises involved in the manufacturing of building materials, Ararat is also the home to the Ararat Gold Recovery Company.
Unfortunately, the city’s ecology is in danger because of the emissions of cement dust and cyanide derived from the gold manufacturing plants. It was also recorded during the summer of 2005 that the impurity of the atmosphere in the city is 9.6 times the acceptable norm. But this does not imply that there are no more safe and beautiful places in Ararat. There are still many magnificent places found in the city that must be enhanced.
