Capital of Ca Mau Province, Ca Mau is a city in Vietnam which is characterized by its good system of transport canals and most goods are transported in the city.

There are approximately 100,000 people living in Ca Mau. The people living here came from different ethnicity. Among the people living here are the Vietnamese, Chinese and Khmer. The city is the country’s biggest exporter of shrimp and prawns. There is also a petroleum project that is in the building process, fertilizer plant, and thermal power plants. It is said that Ca Mau became a territory of the Kingdom of Funan.
In Ca Mau, there are numerous wild bird parks to see and discover. Khmer pagodas can also be found in the city. U Minh area is well-known for its mangrove forest and swamp cuisine like fish hotpots, Vietnamese, Chinese and Khmer cuisine. There are also star hotels restaurants in the city.
