Kuching

Welcome to the most populous city of Malaysia. Kuching is a simple city and also the capital of the East Malaysian State of Sarawak.

It is located at the banks of the Sarawak River on the Northwestern part of Borneo. The climate in the city is tropical and it receives substantial rainfall. Kuching also has the fourth largest urban area in the country after Kuala Lumpur, Klang Valley, Ipoh, and Johor Bahru. The city has a total population of 579,000.

Kuching possesses some of the world’s wonderful natural fauna and flora. Among the movies taken in the place are The Sleeping Dictionary, Farewell to the King, Welcome Home, The Intended, and The Sacred Planet. The city also has Boulevard Shopping Complex, Grand Centro, Green Heights Mall, and The Spring which is the largest lifestyle shopping mall in the state. The tourist attractions found in the city are the Sarawak Museum, Cat Museum, Fort Margherita, Tua Pek Kong temple, and The Kuching waterfront which is a river esplanade and is located right next to the main hotels and commercial heartland of the city.
