Considered as the third tier of government, Hazara Division is among the administrative subdivisions of North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan.
Hazara Division is bounded on the north and east by the Northern Areas and Azad Kashmir. Islamabad Capital Territory and Punjab are found to the south of the district. The division in a north-south line enables the River Indus to flow which forms much of the border on the western part. Hindko is the language used by half of the population in Hazara. Therre are about 4.5 million inhabitants in Hazara Divison.
When it comes to education, Haripen and Abbottabad are said to have higher literacy rates. Most of the students study in the University of Hazara for it provides higher education to people in the whole region. Hazara Division is made up of five districts namely, Abbottabad District, Battagram District, Haripur District, Kohistan District and also the Mansehra District.
