It’s Okinawa

Hailed as the largest of the Ryuku Islands, Okinawa serves as the home of Naha, capital of Okinawa Prefecture. It has a total area of 1,202.03 square kilometers. Okinawa houses six gusuku- Okinawan fortresses, most of which now lie in a state of ruin. Its southern end is made up of uplifted coral reef.

The Okinawa’s subtropical climate had greatly supportOkinawaed a dense northern forest and rainy season that occur every late spring. People in the island are known to consume low-fat, low-salt foods like fish, tofu and seaweed. They are also famous for their longevity. They are considered to live 100 than the rest of Japan and the people in Japan are regarded as the longest lived nationality in the whole world.

It was in the year 1990 when the total population of the island was an estimated 1.22 million people which made up Ryukuans, Japanese people and expatriates.
