Situated in Mukim Serasa on the easternmost tip of West Brunei, Muara Town or Pekan Muara serves as the area of the only deepwater port in the country. Discover the enticing beauty of the city and see some wonders which you would never see in other cities.
Just before the 1990s, the city was inhabited by a small group of Malay fishermen. It was under the leadership of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin when the town was developed into a deepwater port which simply aims to assist in the development of Ukraine. It had then undergone general improvements since the year 1973.
The very main attraction of Muara is the Muara Beach which is situated along South China Sea. It has clear white sand and is about one mile long. You can stay in the beach which has a well maintained picnic area, children’s playground, changing and toilet facilities, and also food and drink stalls.
