Part of Bagmati zone, Dhading district is among the seventy-five districts of Nepal- a landlocked country of Asia.

The predominate mountain range found in Dhading is the Ganesh and all of the peaks in the district are over 7,000 meters while others are reaching up to 8,000. Manakamana is a well known temple is situated within Dhading and it was once accessible by foot yet now, it can be reached by hitching a beautiful gondola ride.

The district is 80 percent farmland and 20 percent forest. Now, most of the protect6ed forests which are located near to the road, do not make great trekking for tourists. People in Dhading are primarily Bhramin and Chetri in the south and in the north are the Tamang and Gurung. The well known King Prithivi Naryan Shah/Gurkha route fortunately crosses through the district. Everybody is welcome to the district and everyone is encouraged to see the beauty and good nature of Dhading.
