Formerly known as Lyallpur, Faisalabad is found in Punjab, Pakistan. It is said to be the third largest city in the country and has a total population of about 2.6 million.

Known as an important industrial center, Faisalabad was founded by Sir Charles James Lyall-British Lieutenant Governor of Punjab. Today, the city has a strong industrial base which includes textiles, jewelry, home furniture and pharmaceuticals. It is also among the three planned cities of Pakistan.Faisalabad

Colonial-era buildings, sports stadiums and numerous public and amusement parks are among the beautiful sites of Faisalabad. Other most visited sited in the city are Faisalabad Clock Tower, Victoria Memorial Chowk, China Club, Faisalabad Railway Staiton, Rox City, China Town, Jinnah Garden, Batala Colony and also the Qaisery Gate. There are also big institutions in Faisalabad just like the Punjab Group of Colleges, Punjab Medical College, University of Faisalabad, Salafi Uiniversity, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad and a lot more.
