Hailed as Bicol region’s largest city in terms of population, Legazpi is a first class city and also the capital of Albay, Philippines. It is situated in the geographical center of the peninsula and between the two island provinces of Catanduanes and Masbate.Legazpi

The city is the southernmost terminus of the Philippine National Railways Main Line South. Legazpi is the ecclesiastical seat of the Diocese of Legazpi and the majority of the people there are Roman Catholics. The city was named after Miguel Lopez de Legazpi who is a Spanish conquistador who conquered the country in the year 1565. Legazpi City is currently connected nationwide and the rest of the world through updated communication facilities. It is also the second most important financial center in the region next to Naga City.

There are numerous spots to see in the city. There is the Albay Park and Wildlife which is a cool picnic grove, Liberty Bell, Japanese Tunnel, Magayon Art Gallery, Legazpi City Museum, Bicol Heritage Park, Lignon Hill and the Kapuntukan Hill.
