A well known school-based choir, the Loboc Children’s Choir is comprised of about 30 schoolchildren who are studying at Loboc Central Elementary School in Loboc, Bohol, Philippines. The children are about 9 to 13 years of age and they have remarkably held concerts all over the country and abroad.
The group was founded in the year 18980 at the elementary school. The choir was established to give color to the school and community events. It was in the year 1993 when the choir won first prize at the National Music Competitions for Young Artists. They were also able to perform with the World Youth Organization in 1999.
In 2000, the children’s choir has represented Philippines in the International Children’s Culture and Arts Festival held in Tianjin, China and had held concerts in Beijing and Hong Kong. They have also been able to perform with the University of the Philippine Singing Ambassadors.
