Chinese CuisineThe cuisine of the Chinese people is one of the richest and most diverse culinary cuisines and heritages of the world.

The Chinese meal is usually made up of two or more general components. One is the carbohydrate source or starch and it is usually found in rice, noodles or mantou. The second component is the accompanying dishes of tasty vegetables, meat or fish. Rice is a major part of Chinese cuisine but in northern china, they have wheat-based products which include noodles and steamed buns.

The soup is often served at the very start of the meal and at the end of a meal. The primary utensils used by the Chinese people are the chopsticks. The food is prepared in regular bite-sized pieces and is ready for direct picking up and eating. In every meal, every person is given his or her bowl of rice and the accompanying dishes are served in communal plates which are shared by everybody at the table.
