It is located on the confluence of two rivers Varzob and Kafernihon. It was in the year 1929 when the city became the capital of the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic. Dushanbe is a vibrant and attractive place most especially every early spring and summer just as when the boulevards and trees are all in full bloom.
